On September 7, one of our consortium members, CTA, had the chance to participate as speaker in the “Bio-based products: The key to climate neutrality?” virtual event, organised by ECCP’s initiative “EU Clusters Talks”.
During the event, the BIObec project was unveiled, allowing for discussion of the potential for the green transition, current solutions, the roll-out for the industry, and the use of bio-based goods as alternatives to raw materials sourced from fossil fuels.
Several specialists in the bioeconomy field attended the webinar to discuss the challenges the sector is now facing, examine the solutions, and offer their perspectives on the successes of local enterprises. One of the issues mentioned in the event has been the shortage of specialists with the knowledge and skills necessary for this line of work. The fact that start-ups are an excellent way to attract young talent who might not always see a career path in the primary industry was also emphasized.
